Owner Agreement of Grooming Policies

Prior to your pet's arrival at our facility, Pawsome Suites must have a formal vaccination record from a licensed veterinarian indicating that your pet is up-to-date on the following vaccinations: Bordetella, Distemper, Rabies, and both H3N2 and H3N8 strains of Canine Influenza.

Owner will advise Pawsome Suites staff of allergies, sensitivities, or any pre-existing medical conditions so that we may avoid aggravating them during grooming or bathing.

Some dogs are extremely sensitive to certain grooming procedures, such as nail trimming and/or ear cleaning, which are necessary for the well-being of the pet. We will not continue any grooming procedure that causes pain or discomfort to the pet. Sometimes, for a more sensitive dog, these services are best left to a veterinarian.

If fleas are found on your pet, Pawsome Suites will administer a hypoallergenic flea bath and Capstar to eradicate fleas in order to maintain salon sanitation. This is at Pawsome Suites' discretion and at the client’s expense.

Matting of a dog's coat is extremely painful and potentially dangerous to their health. You will advise Pawsome Suites of any matting on your pet before they are left at the facility for grooming. If mats are found on your pet, they must be addressed before we can proceed with your pet's appointment. Depending on the severity of matting, the groomer can attempt to de-mat or shave down the pet at an additional cost.

Our groomers/stylists are trained professionals. We reserve the right to alter or cease any groom in the event that our staff determines it is in your pet’s best interest, or if your pet displays aggressive behavior. The client understands that Pawsome Suites has the right to refuse service to the client’s pet(s) at any time for any reason.

Some pets may become uncomfortable and/or scared during grooming and may attempt to bite our groomer/stylist. In that event, we will notify you at our discretion and either add a handling fee (minimum of $25) or cease the groom if deemed necessary. Please let us know beforehand if you know your pet has exhibited such behavior.

If your pet does not respond to the groomer/stylist and remain still during the grooming procedure, accidents can happen (such as nicks from clippers, scissors, or toenail trimmers). If it is necessary for the safety of the pet and the groomer/stylist, muzzles, elastic collars, slings, straps, etc., will be humanely used.
